Success Stories

Graduates are placed with national and regional companies throughout the Pacific Northwest and in other parts of the country. Students from Cascade's Facilities Maintenance program have been hired as building maintenance technicians by Red Lion Inn in the Seattle area and Cascade West Apartments in Mount Vernon, as well as by residential construction and light commercial subcontractors in the region. Culinary Arts specialists and cook assistants have been hired by Life Care Centers of America for several convalescent care centers. Many of our Carpentry completers have become apprentices in the Carpenters/Employers Apprenticeship Training of Western Washington. Our Electricians have been hired by All-American Electric in Sedro-Woolley and by Toika Electric, Inc., in Lynnwood. These are just a few of many regional companies who have found Cascades graduates to be outstanding employees.

In addition, many of our students have been accepted into Advanced Training programs at other Job Corps Centers throughout the United States.

Our health field students frequently obtain placement at the site where they completed their work-based learning. Our business technologies students have also been able to make excellent use of their work-based learning experiences to find employment in their field.

Successful Results Are Obtained by Students Graduating Cascades

Cascades currently boasts a high success rate, with 80% of our students either obtaining jobs, joining the military, or furthering their education. Of those students obtaining employment, 95% of them are what we call a "job training match." This means that they have found employment in the career technical training area in which they were trained and certified.
