Job Corps has more than 40 years of success in helping young people turn their lives around, and the U.S. Department of Labor is committed to building and improving upon that track record. That's why students and contractors who fail to live up to Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy for drugs and violence face serious consequences.

All participants are expected to abide by strict standards of behavior in a drug-free environment. Students who choose not to take their Job Corps opportunity seriously do not belong in the program and are dismissed.

The Department of Labor expects Job Corps contractors to provide a safe and well-managed environment at all centers -- one that is conducive to learning, living, and preparing for the future.
